I’m a Designer
I’m Carolyn, a Senior UX/UI Designer with ten years experience designing responsive web interfaces, intuitive mobile apps and HMI experiences, delightful motion graphics, full brand systems, and more.
With a background in graphic design, I have had the pleasure of working as an in-house designer, in both the biotech and higher education industries, and as a design consultant to a variety of industries.
I use design to improve the world by creating empathetic and engaging experiences for everyone. I excel at building design systems that are intuitive and accessible for people because people are at the heart of design.
I’m a Teacher
To share the design techniques and tips I’ve learned throughout my career and grow my leadership skills, I began teaching online at Skillshare in 2020. I have shared my expertise by creating six classes with 96% of student reviews saying the classes met or exceeded expectations.
I’m a Learner
One of my top strengths is learning. I studied graphic design, color theory, brand identity design, book design, and more at the Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan where I earned my BFA in Art & Design. I have since taken classes at schools like the Rhode Island School of Design and most recently completed a UX Design Certification and Project Management Certification from Google.
